Alphabetized list of lovely things!

January 25, 2011

So, as I sit here, having finished my first glass of plain soymilk in a few years, I feel inspired to write an alphabetized list of things I love.  I got the idea from WordPress user savbee.

A – Applesauce.

B – Books.

C – Cats.

D – Doing makeup.

E – Energy.

F – The French language.

G – Good grades.

H – Happiness.

I – Icing on cakes/cupcakes/cookies.

J – Justice.

K – Krazy Glue, since it’s the only thing I can think of that starts with “K”.

L – Love.

M – Music.

N – Nutmeg.

O – Opera.

P – Pianos.

Q – Quick math tests.

R – Reading.

S – Singing.

T – Tea.

U – Understanding what someone is talking about.

V – Vanilla ice cream.

W – Writing.

X – Xylophones.

Y – Yodeling.

Z – Zippers.

There you have it.

First post!

January 16, 2011

I come to WordPress via a pathway I’m sure has been travelled by bloggers before me.  I started out at LiveJournal, lost interest and shacked up with Blogger.  Finding Blogger offered pretty much no way to connect with other Blogger users, I not so subtly left them, as well.  Late last year, I was inspired to attempt blogging again, and tried tumblr.  Perhaps I’m too picky, but tumblr left something to be desired as well – this time it was actual text.  It seems to me that tumblr is basically a nice place to post, if you only post pictures and minimal amounts of words.

Now I’m here at WordPress and after several days of browsing the site and skimming over the forums, I like it here.  I find the website offers many interesting links right on its homepage, easy ways for users to connect with eachother, and an easy way to customize one’s blog.

In an attempt to rid myself of the writers block that has been bothering me for years, I have decided to participate in the Post A Week 2011 challenge.  Let’s see if it works!  As a fan of optimism, I think it will.
